While this is the official definition many people consider plus size women's clothes to start at size 16 in the United States. You don't want any item of clothing to be skin tight but you do want some defining lines. Oversized T-shirts and baggy pants can make any woman of any size look like a sack of potatoes. Another thing to consider when shopping for clothing are the details. Figure out what your most flattering colors are and buy items in those shades. Don't shy away from bright colors or prints, but do use them in moderation and pair them with neutral tones for a good balance.
